1 . What Is Sedation Dentistry?
Once you've experienced sedation dentistry with Dr. Cliff, you'll probably never be afraid to go to the dentist again.

You'll be sedated just enough to be unaware of the treatment, as if you were snoozing.  You'll wake up refreshed, with little or no memory of what was accomplished.  Because you are completely comfortable, Dr. Cliff can do years of dental treatments in as little as one or two visits.

Dr. Cliff can replace crowns or dentures, restore sore gums to good health, whiten yellow or stained teeth, fix a chipped tooth, and more. People with very busy schedules can get the dental care they need, easily and quickly.

Imagine being able to smile with confidence and chew your food without pain.  No wonder so many patients say: "Thank you, Dr. Cliff.  Sedation dentistry changed my life."

Dr Cliff will give you a small pill to take an hour prior to your dental treatment.  Your companion will accompany you to the office.  By the time we start your dentisty, you will be very drowsy.

When your treatment is completed, your companion will return you home to finish your comfortable, relaxing day.

2 . Does bleaching damage the teeth?
No. When carbamide peroxide, the active whitening agent, contacts water, hydrogen peroxide is released which whitens the teeth. Bleaching does not soften, demineralize or weaken the teeth.

3 . Do over-the-counter bleaching products Work?
There is some evidence that over-the-counter bleaching products do whiten teeth, however, many of the products are too abrasive and can damage the teeth with extended use or misuse. Supervision by your dentist is always the safest and most effective way to whiten your teeth.

4 . What are porcelain veneers and why are they used?
Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin shells of ceramic material which are bonded to the front of the teeth. This procedure can be an ideal choice for improving the appearance of the front teeth by masking discolorations, whitening teeth and/or reshaping a smile.

5 . What causes my jaw to pop when I open it?
There is a pad or disk that separates the jaw bone from the base of the skull. The primary cause of the "popping" occurs when you open your mouth too wide and the jaw bone "pops" off the pad or disk. Treatment is not required unless pain is associated with the "pop" or the jaw locks.
